Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata menjadi salah satu peserta dalam Indonesia Travel Fair di JCC, Gelora
Bung Karno, Senayan, Jakarta (27-28 Nopember 2015) guna mereka mempromosikan
objek wisata, di Lembah Baliem.
Kepala Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kabupaten Jayawijaya, Drs. Alpius Wetipo yang telah hadir jauh-jauh dari Wamena membawa 4 peserta mitra kerja bersamanya, yaitu Pemilik Putra Papua Travel, Pemilik Obyek Wisata Kampung Wisata Tradisional Obia, Pengusaha Kopi Arabika Asli Orang Papua dan Pengrajin Kerajinan Tangan Wanita Orang Asli Papua.
Stand Pameran Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kabupaten Jayawijaya ini cukup mendapatkan perhatian dan kunjungan yang cukup banyak, dan salah satu promosi yang diangkat kali ini bertujuan untuk mengundang seluruh warga Indonesia untuk dapat berkunjung pada Acara Festival Budaya Lembah Baliem Tahun 2016 yang akan di selenggarakan pada Bulan Agustus 2016 mendatang.

Pelaksanaan Festival Budaya Lembah Baliem ke-26 Tahun 2015 Berjalan dengan Aman, Lancar dan Sukses
Diperkirakan jumlah pengunjung baik Turis Asing, Nusantara, Domestik dan Lokal setiap harinya hampir 1000an lebih orang, bahkan tercatat mereka yang menggunakan kamera besar (lensa panjang) hampir mencapai 500an orang.
Memang tahun ini, para photographer di beri kesempatan untuk mengabadikan gambar, khususnya pada hari ke dua, dimana para photographer dipersilahkan untuk berada di tengah lapangan saat para peserta atraksi dari beberapa distrik akan memasuki lapangan tempat pertunjukkan atraksi perang-perangan dan tarian di pentaskan.

Witawo, alat musik tradisional yang akan di tampilkan pada Pelaksanaan FBLB Tahun 2015
PELAKSANAAN FESTIVAL BUDAYA LEMBAH BALIEM TAHUN 2015
Terlampir undangan yang sudah kami sebarkan bagi para tamu dan undangan yang berada di Luar Daerah Kabupaten Jayawijaya.
Pelaksanaan Festival Budaya Lembah Baliem (FBLB) tahun 2015 ini merupakan tahun ke-26 yang masih mengambil lokasi atraksi yang sama dengan tahun sebelumnya, yaitu di Distrik Usilimo.
Salah satu atraksi unggulan yang akan ditampilkan adalah pementasan alat musik tradisional "Witawo", yaitu sejenis alat musik tiup yang dimainkan oleh para remaja pria usia 9-15 tahun yang terdiri atas 6-8 orang. Permainan Musik Witawo ini diangkat kembali guna melestarikan jenis alat musik tradisional masyarakat Pegunungan Tengah yang sudah mulai punah.
Selain itu, pada pementasan atraksi FBLB nanti juga diharapkan kehadiran Menteri Pariwisata di zaman pemerintahan Presiden Jokowi ini agar dapat membuka secara resmi kegiatan dimaksud.

Diklat PIM 4 Pola Baru Angkatan I Tahun 2015 di Wamena
2 STAF DINAS KEBUDPAR JAYAWIJAYA MENGIKUTI DIKLAT PIM IV POLA BARU ANGKATAN I TAHUN 2015 DI WAMENA
Sedikitnya 2 orang pegawai Eselon IV Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kabupaten Jayawijaya di beri kesempatan untuk mengikuti Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Kepemimpinan Tingkat Eselon IV dengan sistem pola baru guna meningkatkan kapasitas kemampuan serta kualitas SDM. Kegiatan PIM IV Pola baru yang akan berlangsung selama 4 bulan ini, menuntut para peserta untuk berperan aktif dalam membuat suatu proyek perubahan di bidang Tupoksinya.
Lady Wina, Jabatan : Kepala Seksi Pengawasan dan Pengembangan Pariwisata pada Bidang Obyek dan Daya Tarik Wisata, menyiapkan Proyek Perubahannya dengan judul : "Optimalisasi Pelestarian Bunga Kurulu Sebagai Obyek Wisata Pada Goa Bunda Maria Pikhe dan Taman PU Kota Wamena.
Rancangan Proyek Perubahan ini adalah untuk mengembalikan nama Kota Wamena sebagai KOTA BUNGA.
Naftali Frans Rumbiak,S.S, Kepala Seksi Rereasi dan Hiburan Umum, malah memilih judul, Pemanfaatan Pola Klaster Kampung Wisata Tradisional Dalam Pelestarian Seni dan Budaya Masyarakat Lembah Baliem. Hal ini dimaksudkan guna menyatukan persepsi diantara sesama jenis usaha wisata yang saling terkait, diantaranya Pengelola Kampung Wisata Tradisional, Usaha Jasa Tour and Travel, Himpunan Pramuwisata, Himpunan Pengusaha Hotel, Organda, Himpunan Pengusaha Kerajinan Mikro (Artshop) dan Pemerintah kabupaten Jayawijaya melalui Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisatan Kabupaten Jayawijaya.
Diklat PIM IV Pola Baru Angkatan I Tahun 2015 di lingkungan Pemda Kabupaten Jayawijaya ini di ikuti oleh 40 orang peserta dari berbagai SKPD berkat kerjasama BKD dan Diklat Pemda Kabupaten Jayawijaya dan Diklat Propinsi Papua.
Diharapkan, dengan diberinya kesempatan bagi para pegawai di Lingkungan Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kabupaten Jayawijaya untuk mengikuti Diklat ini, akan mempersiapkan SDM yang mampu meningkatkan kepariwisataan di kabupaten Jayawijaya. (NR)

Festival Budaya Lembah Baliem Menjadi Ajang Penting Bagi Para Fotographer
PENGALAMAN DAN KESAKSIAN PARA FOTOGRAPHER NASIONAL
YANG TELAH MENGUNJUNGI FBLB TAHUN SEBELUMNYA
Kami lampirkan beberapa pengalaman menarik dari para Fotographer Nasional yang telah menghadiri kegiatan Festival Budaya Lembah Baliem Wamena dalam kurun waktu 2 Tahun belakangan ini... kiranya pengalaman dan kesaksian mereka dapat menjadi salah satu informasi bagi Saudara-Saudari sekalian.
Tidak ketinggalan juga para fotographer Asing (luar negeri) yang jauh-jauh datang untuk mengabadikan moment tersebut.
Kegiatan festival budaya lembah baliem ke-25 tahun 2014, kali ini akan menampilkan atraksi perang suku dengan cerita yang sedikit berbeda dari tahun-tahun sebelumnya, dan peserta yang ditampilkan juga yang berbeda. Kegiatan akan berlangsung selama 3 hari sejak tanggal 7-9 Agustus 2014, atau sejak pembukaan (hari Kamis) hingga penutupan pada (hari Sabtu) sore.
Moment ini juga dapat di manfaatkan oleh kaum Hawa untuk mengambil gambar bersama peserta pria dalam busana adat mereka. (sekalian bisa menunjukkan ke teman-teman bahwa mereka berada disamping kepala suku yang memiliki istri lebih dari 1 :D )
Tips dari kami, jika Anda akan mengambil gambar, mohon siapkan permen atau rokok sebagai ucapan terima kasih. Ini sebagai tanda Anda menghargai budaya mereka dan mengabadikan moment saat mereka sedang bersantai dan Anda tidak ingin mengganggu kenyamanan mereka. Hal ini juga menjaga agar Anda perlu mengeluarkan uang untuk membayar jika mereka meminta uang.

Alternative Baliem Valley Cultural Festival Pakage 5 Days Tour
5 Days Trek in Dani Tribe:
In brief:
The tours start in Wamena & end in Wamena. It takes 4 or 5 hours per day or more, depend on how fast our quest walk per day. The tour is a round trip, thus many difference things can be seen along the trip. Moreover, food is served for (B.L.D) along the treks. More details are described below:
Day (1) Wamena-Wisilimo (L.D)
The tour starts at the hotel at 08:00 or 09:00 am, The taxi will drop us in Yetni river, and we start to walk about 30 minutes to Kurima to stamp your travel permit (=Surat Jalan) at the Military bases. Here, we will walk up the siep kossay hill for about twenty minutes. You are going to see the spectacular scenery of the Baliem valley and Dani tribe huts along the path. Not only that, you are also going to see the local people with traditional-penis gourd for men and Sali or Yokal for ladies along the Dani compounds. Lunch is served on the way. At the end of the first day we will have dinner at the traditional village Wisilimo at around 08:00. In Wasilimo you have the chance to see the traditional Dani huts and the people living here with their traditional live style.
Day (2) Wisi limo-Wuserem B.L.D
After breakfast, we will walk down to the Baliem river bank, passing through sweet potatoe gardens also called “hipere-ubi manis”. The path might be a little bit slippery and muddy after rain, thus watch your step. Your balance is needed, but do not worry, as long as the trek-papua trekking team will assist you at any case also for first aid-please enjoy! We will walk along the river bank until we get to the suspension bridge of the Baliem River. It’s save, but your balance is needed – and in case of troubles do not watch to the water, but watch your step; but in any case the bridge is save. Lunch is served en-route. After crossing the Baliem River the tour lead you to the next hanging wooden bridge across the Mugi river. Below the lovely wooden bride of the Mugi river we will take a rest and you will have the chance to take a bath or washing your shoes. We will walk up to Wuserem village and stay overnight in the hut called “Honai/Pilamo. (B.L.D)
Day (3) Wuserem-Syokosimo (B.L.D)
In the morning activities, here is the most dramatically beautiful compound to who as a photographer or anyone who wants to make up your memory for your life time with Stone Age life people and to show up to your friends which mean you have been to the most remotest area Papua with natural beauty and its people also the scenery. Here we are going to passing the muddy and slippery areas, but definitely easy to pass. There are two ways to pass, so is better choose low land path rather than upper path that which has muddier as well here you are going to walk along the Mugi river bank until you arrive in Syokosimo, the village known as “Siep and Kossay”. Here you will see the old men with its penis gourd “Koteka”, but be careful while you taking picture. Is better we ask first before we take picture than they ask money after all. But no worries, we can give them cigarette per picture that you take. In the afternoon, we can small walking along the villages to see people and you are also can enter the huts, seat with huts owner, share/ask whatever about culture, life style, daily foods, marriage that’s why pig is too important for Dani tribe, many more you want to get to know from them.
Day (4) Syokosimo-Ugem-(B.L.D)
After breakfast, we walk through Mugi river bank, cross two wooden hanging traditional bridges. From here, we walk up a bit through rocky patch but clean. Here you can see many huts compounds; you also see the waterfall from the distance, and savanna along the patch. Lunch is served along the path; otherwise the ugem village is not really far from these villages. You can see many rock orchids, endemic Papuan bird’s sounds, but they are too seeing them. If need to see the bird of paradise bird, we can take you a special place in coastal area called “Raja ampat or to Yali-Elelim, here you can see red tail bird of paradise along the wild rain forest there. In the afternoon, we are going to visit ugem village and the big chief. He has more than 5 wives and they live in one big hut with her pigs in the same huts but share room on the corner. Day 5 Ugem-Wamena-(B.L)
Today is the last day, be happy because the tour leading to see the Baliem river gorge from the hills down. Its looks amazing like the anaconda in the wild rain forest flowing along the villages. We walk down, and cross another hanging brige of Baliem and arrive in Kurima at the previous arrival. Here we can walk or if you feel tired, you can take motor bike services to take you to the Yetni River.
Finally, the public car or charged taxi brings us back to Wamena-Hotel-and to do some souvenirs shopping, packing. The next day is the end of service & departure-

4th August 2014 (Day 1) Around Wamena City
Flight from Sentani (Jpr) to Wamena, on 4th August-Proceed to the hotel, free program:
Visit the Waterfall of Napua, See the Baliem Valley from the Napua hills, visit the public market- Back to the hotel:
Note : We organize Travel permit in Wamena, Not in Jayapura.
5th August 2014, (Day 2), (L.D) Wamena-Ugem Village.
We arrange for the travel permit known as “Surat Jalan’, buy the return ticket at once and then continue the trip to Sogogmo at 12:30 am or 13.00 pm. Upon arrival at Sogogmo public taxi terminal, then we start walk to Kurima district and registration in two military bases. A short briefing there for trekking. After lunch in Kurima, walking up to Ugem village. The scenery and local people are welcome you. They are really friendly, smile and say”Wah” Wah” which means (welcome). We are following through suspension bridge call “Jembatan Kurima” 2 hours walk up to Ugem village- (l.d) END DAY 1.
6th August 2014, (Day 3), (B.L.D) Ugem-Syokosimo
After breakfast, you walk down to Ugem villages close to the place you overnight stay. Here you have a chance to meet the big chief, you also allowed to visit the secret hut, but you will never enter in, just stand outside and take a photo out of it. I don’t know why, but it is! You are going to pass the sweet potatoes gardens, fresh beans, Taroo, carrot plants and many more. We will hike for approximately 4-5 hours through the beautiful countryside and hearth break panoramic. Passing wild forest and scenery is spectacular. Prepared lunch in boxes will be served en-route to the village; then dinner and overnight at in the Syokosimo or known as “the siep and kosay-end day 2.
